WORLD OZONE DAY

World Ozone Day is observed on 16 September, 2021 every year to spread awareness among people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and find possible solutions to preserve it. In this year of the corona virus pandemic that has brought such social and economic hardship, the ozone treaties’ message of working together in harmony and for the collective good is more important than ever. The slogan of the day, ‘Ozone for life’, reminds us that not only is ozone crucial for life on Earth, but that we must continue to protect the ozone layer for future generations.

We at JMJ too initiated this event to sensitize our students about how important the ozone shield is for the life on Earth. The students from classes Nur-XII overwhelmingly participated in online live sessions, poster making activity, and talk shows spreading the message to use environmental – friendly products so that they can do their own bit to protect the precious ozone layer.
