INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Jesus Mary Joseph Senior Secondary School celebrated Independence Day on 14 August, 2026 with great patriotic spirit, enthusiasm and pride. The celebration brought together students and staff from all wings of the school to commemorate the spirit of freedom and honour the sacrifices of our national heroes.

The flag-hoisting ceremony was conducted by the School Manager, Rev. Sr. Dayamani, accompanied by the School Principal, Rev. Sr. Thomasamma, and the Finance Administrator, Rev. Sr. Ancy.

The unfurling of the National Flag was followed by a strong sense of patriotism and pride among everyone present.

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme comprising a graceful welcome dance, patriotic songs and an inspiring presentation by the Junior Wing titled “Voice of India.”

The students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their talent and expressing their love for the nation.

The Pre-Primary Wing also celebrated the occasion with great joy and patriotic fervour.

The little ones came dressed in colourful tricolour-themed attire and proudly waved the National Flag. Through age-appropriate activities, they were sensitised to the values of freedom, unity, national pride and love for the country. Their innocent smiles and enthusiastic participation added a special charm to the celebration.

 The Principal, Rev. Sr. Thomasamma, delivered an inspiring address highlighting the significance of Independence Day and encouraged students to uphold the values of unity, freedom, responsibility and patriotism in their everyday lives.

 The celebration concluded on a joyful and patriotic note, leaving everyone with a deep sense of pride in the nation. It was a memorable occasion that beautifully brought together the enthusiasm of the young learners and the patriotic spirit of the senior students.
