XI And XII

A Heritage Quiz Activity was conducted for classes XI and XII on July 23,2021 by Jesus Mary Joseph Sec School with an aim to raise awareness among the students about the country’s heritage and to sensitize them about the rich cultural diversity of India. It was an online event hosted by teachers- Ms. Maria and Ms. Shany. The quiz spanned over 2 rounds, with second round divided in 2 parts. In round 1, 19 participants were present. In this round, the students competed through an online MCQ based paper. After evaluating rounds 1 results, six kids with maximum number of correct answers were selected for the final round. The final round first part was Questionnaire round and the last was the rapid-fire round which enthralled the students. The results were still more exciting as it ended in a tie. This was followed by a tie breaker question which changed the entire score. Finally, three unambiguous winners were announced. Lastly, the history teacher concluded with a message for all students who participated - ‘’ People without knowledge of their past, origin and culture is like a tree with no roots’’ which left a lasting lesson for the kids. Overall, it was an interesting and cognizant activity.
