Joy of Equilibria

When external stress is applied on a system at dynamic equilibrium, the system shifts the position of equilibrium so as to nullify the effect of stress. 

Jesus Mary Joseph School conducted an activity “Joy Of Equilibria” on 23November2022 for the students of classes XI and XII.  Through this activity, students were able to understand the concept of Le Chateliers Principle which is quite useful industrially in the manufacture of certain chemicals.This activity was carried out in the chemistry lab under the guidance of Ms. Preethi Baiju. Students carefully observed the reaction of Ferrous nitrate and Potassium Thiocyanate proceeding to completion with the change in colour as the concentration of one or both the reactants were changed consecutively.

Students thoroughly enjoyed performing this informative activity.
