FIVE MINUTE SKETCHES ACTIVITY
Jesus Mary Joseph (JMJ) School recently conducted on 8 November, 2024 an engaging activity for students of classes VI-VIII, focusing on \"Five Minute Sketches\" with the emphasis on shading techniques. This creative exercise aimed to develop observation, drawing skills, and fine motor abilities while nurturing artistic expressions, enhance understanding of shading techniques, foster creativity, artistic growth, develop fine motor skills and encourage quick thinking and focus.
The students demonstrated a basic understanding of shading techniques, showcasing improved skills in landscapes, portraits, and still-life compositions. Effective use of stippling and blending techniques added depth and intricacy to their artwork. Time constraint encouraged focus, artistic expression, and creative problem-solving. This activity reinforced the importance of art education in fostering imagination, critical thinking, and self-expression.
