LA FÊTE NATIONALE
In the spirit of being ‘International Minded’ JMJ celebrated ‘La fete Nationale’ on 14 July, 2022. The French language teacher and the students from classes V to VIII organized the celebration for the National Day of France, which is also popularly known as Bastille Day.
The event started with a special morning assembly with a brief introduction on the history of France followed by a description of the ‘French Revolution’. A traditional French song ‘Allouete’ was also sung by the children. France became alive at this well organised special assembly.
Glimpses of France and the French culture are what the children took home on this day. |
An array of activities were also organised for the students. They participated in the competitions such as collage-making, object making, key-chain making etc on topics related to France and its culture, monuments, life in France and the Indo- French connections.
